The Olympic Steel Trading Division, located in Fernandina Beach , Florida , has an outstanding opportunity for a career-oriented individual with strong inside sales skills, working knowledge of flat-rolled steel products, the ability to multi-task in a small office environment, and the drive to start/enhance their career and our growing business.
This position is designed to sell Olympic Steel capabilities as well as market high strength steels and value-added products into the territories currently not being sold by Olympic Steel. Daily tasks will include, but are not limited to, high volume cold calling from provided databases to obtain business leads, qualifying accounts, customer quotes, report preparation, etc. Candidate must be able to work independently to complete all assignments in a timely manner. Occasional travel may be required to accounts.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-3 years sales or customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, as well as excellent time management skills required
- Must be highly flexible, well organized and possess strong customer service skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- The ideal candidate will be someone who is comfortable making cold calls, confident, enjoys talking to new people, and is a self-starter
Position will report directly to the VP New Business Development. Relocation will be considered with salary commensurate with experience.
